2024 IN REVIEW
More than any year in recent memory, 2024 was an all hands-on-deck for Joey. The year was packed with a presidential election, solar eclipse, relentless severe weather, and, of course, St. Louis sports.
Joey prioritized lengthier, detail-oriented digital stories in 2024, balancing both news reporting and feature-based stories. He not only worked on stories that came to the station, but actively sought his own to highlight his hometown.
Joey nearly finish among the Top 20 authors for FOX 2's parent company Nexstar in 2024, finishing 21st with 11.5 million page views, nearly one million per month. The engagement is certainly rewarding, but even more so are the opportunities to find powerful stories that connect with the St. Louis community.

While 2024 was far from a banner year in St. Louis sports, it still made for some memorable moments. In 2024, Joey had the opportunity to cover the season home openers for St. Louis' Big 4 teams (Cardinals, Blues, CITY SC & Battlehawks). He also worked on-site for part of Cardinals spring training, the Blues-Blackhawks Winter Classic, the Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR race and an Adam Wainwright solar eclipse concert.
