Joey's Journey
I am a St. Louis native with years of experience in digital news and sports multimedia production. I graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism in May 2018 with an emphasis in sports broadcast. After graduation, I changed my focus to digital content, another way to cover professional, collegiate and local sports in my home state.
Digital production offers a thrill I have not fully experienced with other opportunities in the broadcast industry. The power to connect with hundreds of thousands of viewers, to be first and to provide something you just can't find anywhere else makes this role rewarding.
My passion for digital content has grown over the past few years, leading to my current opportunity as one of several digital producers for FOX 2 in my hometown of St. Louis.
Whether writing web stories or finding viral content for your social media feeds, I enjoy working with our news, weather and sports teams to provide the best coverage possible.
I continue to help with social media operations on occasion for Bally Sports Midwest, which opened my eyes to digital content opportunities. Past stops in Springfield, Missouri (KY3/KSPR), Rockford, Illinois (WIFR) and Columbia, Missouri (KOMU) have also provided valuable experience for my current endeavors.
Ultimately, I hope to advance my career with my growing experience in digital production and sports multimedia.
